Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your data on stevenwensley.com.

1. About this website

This privacy policy applies to stevenwensley.com, a professional services website operated by Steven Seidenfaden Wensley, based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The site is a set of static files served by a hosting provider (currently GitHub Pages). Form submissions are handled by Formspree, and page-view measurement by Cloudflare Web Analytics. Those three are the only third parties involved in operating the site, and each is described below.

2. Data we collect

We collect data in two ways:

A. Form submissions (Formspree)

When you submit a form on this website—such as booking a session, downloading AI Governance templates, or requesting information—we collect the following personal data:

Form submission is optional. You are not required to submit any forms to use the free resources on this site (such as the AI Governance Assessment tool).

B. Page-view measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

We measure how many people visit which pages, using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It records the page requested, the referring page, and a coarse indication of country, browser and device type.

It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not fingerprint your browser, and does not build a profile of you or follow you to other websites. There is no identifier that links one of your visits to another.

This site previously used Google Analytics. It was removed in August 2026 — an earlier version of this policy stated that we did not use it while the site in fact did, and rather than add a consent banner we removed the tracking. We consider a site that needs no consent banner the better outcome.

C. Technical data from hosting

Your browser automatically sends technical information (IP address, browser type, page requested, referrer) to our hosting provider as part of standard web server logging and abuse prevention. This is not under our direct control. Our current host is GitHub Pages, governed by GitHub's privacy policy.

3. How we use your data

We use the data you provide through forms for these purposes:

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is used only to deliver the services you've requested and to improve our offerings.

4. Data storage and security

Form submissions are stored by Formspree, a US-based form processing service. Formspree stores your data on their servers and is responsible for its security.

Formspree's privacy practices: For details on how Formspree collects, stores, and protects data, please refer to their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

We recommend you review Formspree's privacy policy to understand how they handle your information. If you have concerns about Formspree's data practices, you may contact them directly at [email protected].

5. GDPR and your rights

If you are located in the European Union or UK, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These include:

To exercise any of these rights, please contact Steven Seidenfaden Wensley directly:

We will respond to your request within 30 days. If your request is complex or we need to verify your identity, we may ask for additional information.

6. Cookies

We set no cookies for analytics, tracking, advertising or personalisation, and we therefore ask you for no cookie consent. Our page-view measurement (section 2B) is deliberately cookieless.

Our hosting and security infrastructure may set a strictly necessary cookie whose sole purpose is to distinguish human visitors from automated traffic. Such a cookie carries no advertising or analytics function and is not used to identify you. If we ever introduce a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first — and this section will say so.

Formspree may set its own cookies when you submit a form, in accordance with its privacy policy.

7. Links to external sites

This website contains links to external sites, including LinkedIn, GitHub, and services we recommend. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites. Please review their privacy policies before providing personal information.

8. Contact for privacy inquiries

We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page. Your continued use of this website constitutes your acceptance of the updated privacy policy.
